Are you an experienced skier? Discover the thrill of freeriding in Les 2 Alpes with our Expert Off-Piste course!

Guided by an experienced English-speaking esf instructor with expert knowledge of the area, you’ll receive personalised technical advice to develop your skills in powder and on varied terrain.

In a small group of 4 to 6 skiers, you’ll explore off-piste routes safely, refine your technique and experience the unique sense of freedom that comes with skiing beyond the marked runs!

Do I need special insurance?
  • Pupils are not insured by esf, so we strongly recommend taking out suitable insurance.
  • Assur’Glisse insurance is available online or from the ski lift ticket offices.
  • You can also purchase seasonal snow insurance from esf or the Les 2 Alpes Ski Club.
  • It is also worth checking with your bank, as some bank cards may include cover for off-piste skiing.
I’ve never skied off-piste before. Can I sign up for this course?
Yes, you can, provided that you are a confirmed Class 4 skier.
What equipment do I need for this course?
  • Make sure you have all-mountain skis suitable for both on-piste and off-piste skiing.
  • A helmet and back protector are strongly recommended.
  • esf will provide all the necessary off-piste safety equipment: an avalanche transceiver, rucksack, shovel and probe.
